WHAT A DAY!!!!!

what a day The last couple of hours have been utterly surreal. We thought things had taken a turn for the worse when we received a message that Amsterdam was a no-go. Our concern deepened considerably when we encountered a police blockade about 50 miles outside of Frankfurt. When we pulled in, a German traffic cop said, 'ze game is over for you now' (absolutely not a joke) and directed us round to a car park full of our old friends from Pall Mall. After an hour and a half of hanging around, getting cold, watching Xzibit get 'busted' (his own words) and paying hefty fines for participating in an 'illegal rally' (the Germans aren't so keen on the Gumball idea, as it turns out) we were informed that several of our number had been caught speeding in both Holland and Germany. We would have a police convoy to our next destination – Frankfurt Hann airport – and we would all drive as though we were each carrying Miss Daisy and a couple of her decrepit mates. But we're Stuff. We do things differently. We're not actually participating in any more of the rally, y'see, so we've been given police permission to drive off on our todd to get to our hotel in Frankfurt am Main. At last count, we have about 60 miles to go. It's already 6am. This is not ideal.
