Perfect Imperfections
I am nothing like you, I never was,i never will be. I think you realized it too, yet you still hold on. You're holding onto your dreams, of me being a perfect daughter, a young woman with a high IQ, and priorities in perfect place. Well what is right for you, is completely wrong for me, I don't have to be smart, to succeed in everything i do. You say that school comes first, i really could care less, it doesn't mean i don't work hard, im just not the best. You say that i embarrass you, the way i wear my clothes and the color of my hair, you say that im oblivious to the ones who point and stare. But it's these little imperfections, that make us who we are, it took me time to realize this, I wish you could accept me,imperfections and all.
