The Misconception about Obama's Tax Plan
this is very simple.

if you make less than $250,000 a year - your taxes will not go up

if you make more than $250,000 a year - your tax rate will be rolled back to the rates they were under the Clinton Administration - and the last time I checked, the economy under Clinton was pretty damn good

Moreover, under an Obama Administration your entire income will not be taxed under the Clinton rate - just the money over $250,000.  So if you make $300,000 a year - only the last $50,000 will be taxed at the "Clinton Rate"

He's not raising taxes higher than what Clinton did.

He's not raising taxes if you are poor or in the middle class.

He's not giving tax breaks to oil companies that have multi billion dollar profits per quarter - companies that don't need them and whose executives wallet gets fatter and fatter by the hour.

How old were you during the "Clinton Administration"? Did you even have a job yet? My dad was against Clinton and he is a hard working, bill paying man. Everyone I knew that WAS for Clinton (and ADULTS) were lazy people that had food stamps. I have noticed that alot of blogs are blaming this nice recession on the Mr. Wonderful Bill and his theory of "if we make it easy for everyone to buy stuff they can't afford, the economy will go up".

Frankie was a teenager during Clinton....certainly old enough to know what was going on. You don't need to have been an adult then to look at history and see how the economy was then versus now.....

Hmmm...interesting. I work at a high school and the teenagers here could give a rat shit about the economy, even the ones that work. And researching economic history is different than being there and experiencing the ebb and flow. We can research the Depression, and yet.....are we freezing or going hungry? Not the same.

Not the same but history repeats itself. Not sure what kind of high school you work at....but in Colorado when I was in high school - we were all VERY aware of what was going on and concerned for our future. We had active political teams and clubs and often discussed current events....just because we wanted too.

That's because Colorado is a liberal state, no offense. When I lived there, all you had to do was travel 20-40 miles and you would get completely different points of view. Bigger the town or city, the more political things were and it would travel to us smaller towns. Especially with all the damn tourists deciding "it looks like a wonderful place to live!" and moving in from CA and bringing their preconceived baggage with them.
I live in a rural community and the biggest worry most of these kids face is whether or not harvest will pay all the bills. AND most people here have an unpopular nickname for Obama that you probably already know and I won't repeat. At this stage in the game, not many people will be changing their minds.

Obama isn't a natural born citizen. If he was, then why not prove it.

But hey, it's only our constitution that's been in effect since this country became a country.

I'm sure with all his talk about change, he can change that too. Hey,
maybe he can just go in and undo anything else he wants in the
constitution too. Or add new things. Won't that be fun? Let's
bastardize the whole system!

My fellow Americans, we live in the greatest country on the planet. Vote for me so I can change it

Actually Colorado is primarily a Republican state. We had as big a Republican club as we did a Democratic one.....and Chad....I know you are not dumb enough to believe Obama is not a citizen

I don't trust the man...

Would you support a White President who went to a church which has tenets that said they have a ... 1. Commitment to the White Community 2. Commitment to the White Family 3. Adherence to the White Work Ethic 4. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community. 5. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions 6. Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System 7. Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.
